IBE® was created to help solve 3 major problems found with other methods: damage to client's hair & scalp, discomfort, & the lack of versatility in styling options.
This luxury extension method uses hand-tied or micro hair wefts, beads, & thread. Paired with clean sectioning perfectly mapped out placement specifically for your head shape & BAM you have yourself a headful of beautiful locks just for you!

Hair can cost anywhere from $300-$3000. Many factors go into the calculation of the cost such as: your current length & density vs your desired end result.

Quality hair will last on average 6-12 months. With proper styling care and proper use of recommended professional hair products, you can easily get one year (or longer) out of your hair.

Absolutely! I recommend applying dry shampoo around your row(s) & blowdrying the tops after a workout if you get really sweaty!

I have gone through years of research to ensure Alter’d Mane only supplies extension safe haircare. Anything represented by Alter’d Mane already has the green light.

K-Tips: Alter’d Strands
Keratin Tips (K-Tips) or Alter'd Strands, as we call them here, are individual strands bonded with a color matched keratin tip made to match your hair's natural structure. Because they move 360 degrees, they're my secret weapon for filling in thin hairlines, crowns, and delicate spots where wefts simply won't work.
While this method isn't brand new, the massive wave of education over the last five years means K-Tips are finally getting the high-precision installs they've deserved all along!

Instead of horizontal rows stitched across your head, Alter’d Strands are attached strand-by-strand - distributing the weight all throughout your head. They blend seamlessly with your natural texture, feel completely weightless, and give you 360-degree styling freedom.

Zero maintenance visits in between. You wear them continuously for 3 to 4 months. After that, they are professionally removed and replaced with fresh hair; no move-up appointments required.
You are welcome to book a basic needs, simplicity, or extension blowout session between installs if you miss me though!
Your Bottom Line: On average - based on a standard 6-week IBE move-up cycle and replacing your weft hair every 10 months - K-Tips run roughly $1,000 more annually than IBE. (this is an average - not the solid bottom line for each guest)

Not when done right. Damage only happens when they are applied on compromised hair, left in beyond the 4-month mark, or not properly cared for at home. Installed correctly and removed professionally, your natural hair stays protected.

The bonds are tiny, flat, and soft. Once installed, they sit close to the scalp without poking, pulling, or creating painful pressure points. You will be able to feel them, but because the bond will be color matched to your hair they will be undetectable!

Yes! However, we need to keep the blowdryer and hot irons an inch away from the attachment points so you don't melt the bonds. (which will cause the bond to release)
